So only a few days after getting the Bachmann starter set, I've learned that Atlas N-scale cars use a more realistic coupler called an "Accumate Coupler". I ordered a couple Atlas cars before I realized this, so I hope they are compatible with the Bachmann couplers. If not, I saw a package of 12 Atlas trucks on ebay for not much money. So, worst case scenario is that I will retrofit all or some of the Bachmann cars with the more realistic couplers. On a seperate topic, I ordered some additional Bachmann EZ Track straight and curved pieces as well as a set of 2 Bachmann EZ Track turnouts, which should help to spruce up the standard oval I've got right now.
